A movie review

             Hello everyone!  I am back, it has been years since the last time i updated my blog and I am terribly sorry for my absent. I have been busy in the past few years, especially these previous months. After five years of studying i am glad to say that i am already a bachelor degree holder! Wohooo! Being a working student is really a big challenge since i am doing my thesis, internship and my work simultaneously these past few years. So to inspire more folks, who is having hard time achieving their goals this is for you. This is for you!

       

          Hope my review help you fine new inspiration. In some point of our lives we experience hardships, but I am telling you those hardships are not  burden but challenges given by thy God to make thee a better person and make us enjoy and appreciate happiness.

Introduction

        

           This is an american biographical drama film on 2006 under Columbia Pictures, the story is based on entrepreneur Chris Gardener's nearly one year struggles of being homeless and poverty. It was directed by Mr. Gabrielle Muccino, the film features Mr. Will Smith as Chris Gardner and Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son as Chris's son. The film has a running time of 177 minutes, done in English and the screen play is written by Steven Conrad. The screen play itself is based on the best-selling memoir written by Gardner with Quincy Troupe. 

Synopsis

          Chris Gardner is a bright and talented but marginally employed salesman. Struggling his way of selling portable bone-density scanner, which is his cost of living. He and his five years old son face different kinds of struggles after being evicted from their apartment in San Francisco. While downtown trying to sell one of the scanners, He meets Jay Twistle, a manager for Dean Witter Reynolds a stockbroker company and impress him by solving a Rubik's Cube during a short taxi ride. From his new relationship with Jay it has given him a chance to become an intern stockbroker. But Linda, Gardner's wife is not pleased of his unpaid internship, which eventually leaves for New York. 

      Gardner is further setback when his bank account has been garnished by the tax bureau for his unpaid income taxes, and he ends up with less than twenty-two dollars, resulting in them being homeless. At one point they can even forced to take shelter in a restroom at station, including spending their nights at a homeless shelter, in order to pursuit his dream of a better life for the two of them.

Review

The unusual spelling of the movie's title comes from a mural that Gardner sees written on the wall outside the daycare center in which his son's attending to. He always complains about this matter, he insists that "happiness" is spelled incorrectly and it need to be change.

         The movie has six (6) parts; first is "Riding a bus", second is "Being stupid",third is "Running", fourth "Internship", fifth "Paying taxes" and lastly "Happiness". 

           The movie gave me a new impression about Will Smith, and i just found out that he has a very good dramatic skills. Which is somehow surprise me, for the record i haven't seen him in a dramatic lead role. His acting is superb, which i think give a great success of the movie. A great story needs a great actor, in order to make the people see and appreciate the beauty of the film. I have re-watched this film many times and it still give me the same feeling each time i re-watched it. It give me courage, courage to face hardships and make me hold onto my dreams more.

           The movie gives a vivid impression of what kind of reality we are all living with. The whole story was like a wake up call, asking people "what is happiness for you?". Is happiness about money, relationship, career, dreams or just the life itself. 

         One of my most favorite part in the movie is when he attend the interview for his internship application dressed  like a garbage-man, not in the usual tie and coat. The moment he step-in to face the interviewer he enthusiastically greet them with a handshake and he tell them straight in their face, the reason why he was dresses like that. He just show how sincere and real he was. He even told them that he tried to think of an excuse to impress them by thinking a make up story but he settled down in telling them the truth.

A movie review: Jezel Bonaobra

             Hi! guys I am back. Sorry for not posting anything this past few weeks I am terribly sorry for my absent. Being a  working student is surely need a proper time management, where I am very bad and that's why I have been castaway to social media  this past few weeks  ... Oh well! enough for the drama I hope my new post will catch your attention. This is one of my favorite movie that I am sure will inspire each one us. Introduction:

        An Indian film directed by  Rajkumar Hirani  and produced by  Vidhu Vinod Chopra . Done in English, Hindi and Undu with the genre of comedy and drama. A film adaptation of   Five Point Someone   a novel by  Chetan Bhagat . A running time of 170 mins and has been released in theaters by December 25, 2009.

       After 10 years  Farhan Qureshi and  Raju Rastogi has find a way to re-unite with friend and fellow Collegian Ranchodas "Rancho" Shyamaldas Chanchad. After faking a stroke aboard an Air Indian Plain, Farhan contact his friend Raju regarding the information  Chatur Ramalingam gave them about Rancho's location. Along their journey little by little the secret behind Rancho's true identity unfold. Rancho is a very peculiar student  and  give creative and unorthodox answers in class and  studies for the pleasure of building machines unlike his friends Farhan and Raju.  Farhan wants to become a wildlife photographer , but is pursuing an engineering degree to fulfill his father's wish, where Raju  study engineering to improve iis family's financial situation. But this happy-go-lucky Rancho hide a secret about his true identity and melancholic past.

Review:

          This movie is very inspiring to learn a lot of lessons and realized a lot of thing in my life. This movie is very helpful not just for teenagers but also for adults. 1st year I was a student when i watched this movie with my family and guess what my dad and I is so much hook-up on it that the two of us finish watching it at 2 am in the morning so heartwarming and enjoyable. 

         " That day I understood that this  heart scares easily . You have to trick it, However big the problem is. tell your heart, 'Pal, all izz well. All izz well '. "-Rancho ..." Does that solve the problem? "-Raju ..." No, but you gain courage to face it. "-Rancho. This is my most favorite lines part of the movie. People's heart scare easily, because of this They  cage their self  in their pompous comfort zone. Afraid to be hurt or to hurt somebody because of their actions. Afraid to take a step to make changes. Not knowing that doing nothing will give much pain and put deep scares in our heart. Not all have brave hearts but a heart full of courage make small changes that give big and better solution. So remember to tell your heart "all izz well all izz well".

 " Pursue excellence, and success will follow you, pants down. "-Rancho. Life is full of rat race sometimes an event is a series of unfortunate events. People now do everything to chase different kinds of success and excellence comes last to their mind. Gaining something by doing all your best and putting your heart on doing it make a meaningful much success.

        " Today my respect for that idiot shot up. Most of us went to college just for a degree. no degree meant no plum job, no pretty wife, no credit card, no social status. But none of this mattered to him, he was in college for the joy of learning, he never cared if he was first or last. "-Farhan. When I heard this line the first pop in my mine is the tittle of an essay I read on my high school. The essay titled "Why are you studying?" and this quotes simply give me the answer for that essay. Some student  think that in school they should be the first one on exams, has the highest grade and become Valedictorian or Magna Cum Laude. But this quote give a lesson that everyone forgot. School are not factory machine for robot it is a home where people who love to learn live.  A place where you meet people that you can only meet once in your life.

    This movie is life changing, a great one. The story is fascinating and  the actors and actresses portray their character very well. First Bollywood movie i ever seen and its awesome. They say that the movie is an adaptation of a novel, hope to read it soon. It was really laughing-out-loud movie and the music s good too, i can't forget the part where Rancho and Pia sing a very entertaining song i somehow LSS on it. The story line is simple but it will surely warm your heart even though the effects and production  is simple it really fit the story and give a BIG RED A+.  This movie is so hooray!!! i hope you watch it also :). It deserve watching for.

I made this blog because i really love to watch movies especially old movies and i am very addicted to it....My decease college professor who encourage me to write movie reviews about the movies i already watched. So here it is my first Blog about movie review, i am a novice in this field hope my blog help you.

          Prince of Persia the sands of time is a movie presented by Disney Movie,live action. That have a running time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Done in English, that was directed by Mike Newel. With a theme of Persian culture.

Synopsis:

        

         After the successful conquering of the Holy City of Alamont. Prince Dastain, the adopted son of the King, has been accused of murdering the King of Persia and  the journey of the adopted prince started for  uncovering the truth behind the death of his beloved father. With the help of Princess Ta Mina of Alamont

, Dastain  escaped the execution. The death of the King was planned by Mi Zhanmus, the brother of the King, so he can posses the Dagger of Time. Travel back to the past and unsaved his brother from the attack of the lion and become the king of Persia. To stop this Dastain and Ta Mina need to return the Dagger of Time from the stone where it came from.

        The Dagger of Time is an ancient blade that can make everyone travel back to past with the help of the Magical Sands of Time. But travelling back to the past is very prohibited. Especially if the dagger will be struck on the hour glass and fall to the wrong person. It can unleash a sand storm that will annihilate the mankind. That's why the duty of  every princess of Alamont is to secure the safety of the dagger.

       Prince Dastain  use the power of the dagger to clear his name and unfold the truth and when his brothers knew the truth their uncle  killed them. So to redeem their fatal mistakes, Dastain struggle to stop his uncle to struck the dagger in the hour glass.

Review:

  

       The movie is very inspiring event though its fictional, i assure that everyone can relate from this movie it have lots of important messages for everyone. Most people think fictions are just for entertainment, but this movie give values that we don't usually give attention.

      "Everyone of us is capable of making our own destiny."-Prince Dastain, Of all the line in the movie this line inspire me the most it simply convey that everyone of has  his own right to  become who he want to be you just need to find the courage to do so. Do not let our past hold us down but use this as stepping stone to go forward. God is there to remind us for what is good and what is bad but the last decision is always on us.

     "You have home, family, wealth, respect and everything a man could ask but still you are not contented for what you have."-Prince Dastain. The protagonist  is a thief low life and an orphaned before the King found him in the market. He doesn't have everything before but the King provide him everything that's why he love and respect the family who adopted him. It was such a shame and pity to know somebody like Mi Zhanmu, who didn't treasure the thing he have. Mostly people are blind to see the things already have, they are too greedy and selfish to treasure it.

      Lastly is about the magical ability of the dagger to travel back to the past,. In our life sometimes we do things that we regret after. That sometimes makes us wish to return back and change it, but those thing happen already we should learn from it and move on. We should remember that god won't let such thing happen if its not for our own good, mistakes make people grow.

     The movie is great, the actors are good and the special effects is merely fascinating. The stuns are unbelievable,  my favorite part is when Dastain jump on a very high post to open the gate. It was like a perfect dive, so stunning. In short everything is awesome no need to spell it out. It deserve watching in big screen or not.
